F.W. Woolworth

F.W. Woolworth–What can be said? Constructed in the late 1930s and remodeled c. 1950 when some of its Art Deco detailing was removed, this building and its neighbor from 1940, the former Neisner’s 5 & 10 at 153 recall the Central Avenue of the World War II era like few other groups of buildings. The interior of Woolworth’s retains its early ’50s flavor as well.
