Micah Cash: Waffle House Vistas
As a conceptual landscape photographer, Micah Cash focuses on how landscape and architecture interact to contemplate the physical impacts of social, political, and economic structures. His photography series, Waffle House Vistas, captures the built and natural environments as seen through the windows of Waffle House restaurants across the southeastern United States. These images provoke conversations about economics, politics, identity, and history. The natural landscapes beyond the windowpanes are as diverse as the perspectives and stories of each guest at the tables. But the similarities of the restaurants’ interiors echo across states and time zones.
