The SCA’s first big in-person event in 2 years, our NYC: Golden Age of Air Travel, is now officially back on schedule! We’ll be flying (or driving, or training, or bussing) to the TWA Hotel on June 17, 2022.

TWA Hotel Opening Reception
We will meet in the upper level of Eero Saarinen’s 1962 TWA Flight Center in the Ambassador’s Club Lounge for dinner and drinks. The lounge serves as the lobby of the hotel, and is adjacent to exhibits of vintage TWA uniforms and other memorabilia.

Wingin‘ It in the Big Apple: Manhattan Bridge Infrastructure Tour
A guided full circumnavigation of Manhattan and an in-depth look at the engineering marvels of all of NYC’s fantastic, historic and wildly different bridges and tunnels!
Join the Society for Commercial Archeology and Retro Roadmap co-host NYC: The Golden Age of Air Travel.
From our base of operations – the spectacular TWA Hotel at JFK International Airport, Eero Saarinen’s 1962 classic – we will take off for guided tours of air travel-related sites across the NYC Metro region and a bonus boat tour around Manhattan.
