SCA Day Tripper: Chicago’s North Side

Exit the Beaten Path
Chicago tourism’s center of gravity is around the Loop – quite reasonably, between its world-class museums, delightful Millennium Park, and block after block of architectural landmarks. But there are plenty of places farther out that are more like the city as locals live it. Today, we’ll exit the beaten path for the North Side, focused on the Uptown and Edgewater neighborhoods. They are generally accessible via public transportation, while parking ranges from easy to manageable. Once you’re in the area you can walk between many of the recommended spots.
